A BLACKBURN man accused of attempted murder today denied the charge when he appeared at Preston Crown Court.
Mohammed Afzal, 24, of Woodfold Place, Blackburn, pleaded not guilty to attempting to murder Lynn Poole on June 22 this year.
Another man who appeared alongside him in the dock denied a charge of perverting the course of justice.
Arif Gorji, 22, of Granville Road, Blackburn, pleaded not guilty to an allegation of offering someone money to stop them going ahead with a complaint against Mohammed Afzal.
The case was put back to October 24 and both defendants were remanded in custody.
