LOVE it or hate it, Church Street is here to stay and I, for one, like it. To me, it's a good reminder what Blackburn was, with heavy industry that employed tens of thousands in its heyday.
I think that they have made a good balance of skill and work ('Arte et Labore') and when the work is finished you will see it in all of its glory.
So stop knocking the town you live in and be proud of what we have and what has been achieved in this great town.
The new-look street might not be to all people's liking but if you look at some of the things that have been put up around the country, then we are on a winner.
