PUPILS will drink playtime milk next Monday as part of a campaign to highlight its availability to schools.
St George's and St Richard's, Atherton, and St Peter's, Hindley, were chosen from 1,000 nationwide to receive the treat.
The School Milk Week crusade will highlight the fact that every primary school child aged 5-11 can have up to 250ml of EU subsidised milk at school each day. Currently only a quarter of schools offer the drink and 60pc of those make it available to under fives.
