RETIRED Atherton builder and motorcycle trials and scrambles rider Les Manley has died, aged 90.
Mr Manley worked in the family business J Manley and Sons and was a successful competition rider pre and post World War Two having been a BSA works team member and won prestigious awards in the Scottish Six Days Trial.
He died in Bolton Hospice and the funeral took place on Wednesday at Lostock where he and his wife lived.
Grandfather Les leaves behind a wife, Betty, a son John and daughter, Kathie.
