PETER Reid may turn to teenager James Milner against Rovers at Elland Road tomorrow after being given a stay of execution as Leeds manager.
Milner made his Leeds debut against West Ham last November, becoming the second youngest player to appear in the Premiership.
He also became the youngest scorer in the Premiership.
Milner has completed a successful loan spell with Second Division Swindon and their manager Andy King believes Reid may now be ready to plunge the 17-year-old into Premiership action.
Milner scored in Swindon's 2-2 draw with Luton in his final game for the Robins, adding to his goal at the weekend in the 2-0 win over Peterborough.
"I can't praise the lad enough," said King.
"I believe Peter Reid is thinking about him for the weekend and if he decides to play him then I thoroughly support him.
"He has asked me about the boy and I've told him he's been tremendous, on and off the pitch.
"His contribution in the short time he's been with us has been outstanding."
Reid confirmed last week that Milner would be in his plans again when he arrived back at Elland Road, and turned down an offer from Swindon to take him on loan for another month.
Now Milner could be set to start against Rovers or win a place on the substitutes' bench.
