AFFETSIDE goes Gallic this Sunday when the millennium green plays host to its first ever boules match.
And the French flavour will be heightened with a fancy dress competition and food and wine from across the Channel.
The event starts at 1.30pm and is hoped to become an annual attraction.
Members of the Affetside Society, including Linda Moloney and Roseanne Davies, organised the event.
Chairwoman of the Affetside Society, Joanne Wilcox, said: "The boules competition sounds great fun for adults and children.
"We hope a lot of people will attend to make it an event to remember."
