POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was assaulted and robbed by a gang of youths.
The victim, aged 14, was cycling along Accrington Road, Burnley, near the Vauxhall garage at about 9pm on Tuesday when he was approached by a group of seven youths.
He was knocked from his bike and punched and kicked before the gang -- five boys and two girls --stole a computer games console and DVD.
They ran off towards the Barclay Hills estate.
The gang were described as between 16 and 17 years old, and the boys were wearing woolly Burberry-style hats.
Anyone with information should call police on 01282 472159 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
