AFTER taking two points on their travels south, Burnley seek to build on their last impressive home performance against Walsall at Turf Moor tomorrow.

On their last home outing the Clarets blew Bradford City away 4-0, but manager Stan Ternent, whose side drew 2-2 at Wimbledon last Saturday before a 1-1 midweek draw at Watford, has warned his team to expect a stiff test from the Saddlers.

Walsall boss Colin Lee bolstered his side during the summer with the signing of former Arsenal, Aston Villa, Portsmouth and England midfielder Paul Merson and the highly experienced Vinnie Samways, who has played in La Liga for Seville and Las Palmas after spells with Spurs, Everton, Birmingham and Wolves.

And after a shaky spell the Saddlers have bounced back with 2-1 wins over Preston and Gillingham and that has prompted Ternent to sound a cautious note.

"We haven't lost over the past few games, but we have to feel that we could have won at Wimbledon and Watford," said Ternent.

"But not losing away from home is good and now we have to make the most of playing at home.

"There is no reason why we can't win the game in the style we did against Bradford, but we are up against a good side.

"Walsall have some very good and very experienced players so we know we are in for a tough match."

And Walsall boss Lee is certainly upbeat about his side's chances going into the game.

"We have got to keep on improving and the last two results have certainly lifted our confidence levels," said Lee.

"The body language of the players is much better and we have got the endeavour back into our game."
