FIREFIGHTERS were called to a derelict mill in Rossendale twice in less than 24 hours due to arsonists.
Rubbish fires were started at the mill, in St Mary's Way, at 1am and 6.30pm yesterday.
Firefighters from Rawtenstall used breathing apparatus, hoses and jets to tackle both blazes.
Sub-officer Glen Barrett said: "Hopefully the mill will be boarded up today to prevent anyone getting in and doing this again. The second fire, in particular, involved a very large pile of rubbish."
