SCHOOL pupils in Blackburn are getting the chance to check out adult life with Marks & Spencer's Work Experience programme.
Year 10 pupils Aisha Rana, 15; Anesa Araf, 16, and Farhaan Malik, 15, from Beardwood High School, have taken up one-week work placements at the chain's Blackburn store.
The hard-working teenagers have been working in several departments on the shop floor, from menswear to customer service, to get a taste of a career in the retail industry.
They are among 2,750 UK students taking part in the Marks & Spencer scheme.
Ed Williams, head of corporate and social responsibility at Marks & Spencer, said: "The experience helps youngsters become more employable by preparing them for life after school."
