CONEY Green High School will now be known as Coney Green Technology College.
The name change comes in the same week that the Spring Lane centre has celebrated achieving Specialist Technology status.
At the launch on Tuesday (30th) headteacher Diana Morton expressed her pride at the achievement.
She thanked invited guests, who included sponsors, partner schools, governors, LEA colleagues and school staff, for their support.
Mrs Morton emphasised the point that only the very best applications are successful and everyone involved in preparing the bid should be justly proud of the part they played in achieving specialist status for Coney Green.
She added: "The launch is just the start of a very exciting time for the school and its partners. By working together it will now be possible to offer a wide range of opportunities, not only for members of the school, but also for the community of Radcliffe."
