ALTHOUGH the national lottery has been running since 1994, the £10 prize for three numbers has not changed in all that time.
It should be increased by at least 100 per cent to make it a feasible gamble for the punter and to encourage more participants.
This could help with the lottery's revival but it will not cure the cause of the drop-off in ticket sales.
If changes are not made the lottery will suffer and end up pale. One cannot keep milking the cow without feeding it first.
