A SUPERB second half performance saw free-scoring Rovers Ladies overcome Newcastle United 6-2 at the Academy.
Andy McNally's side have now scored 20 goals in their opening four Northern Combination games, with only four to their name in the against column.
Captain Justine Wallace fired Rovers' first after being laid in by Andrea Bell, however the Geordie visitors hit back to take a 2-1 lead.
Bell bagged a crucial equaliser just before half-time with a front post finish from a Vikki Eastwood cross, and from then on it was all Rovers.
The hosts upped the tempo after the restart and further goals from Bell, Sarah McRea and Katie Anderton (2) sealed what was ultimately a convincing victory for Rovers.
Boss McNally said: "We showed a lot of character to respond after going behind.
"The way we went about our football in the second-half shows there's a lot of steel and determination in this side."
