LOWERHOUSE Bowling Club was the venue for the final of the Jimmy Jowett Memorial Cup on Sunday, September 28.
The 16 finalists that took part enjoyed some very close finishes on a sunny afternoon. The winner was Len Cutler from Queen's Park BC; runner-up was Ken Must from Causeway BC; losing semi-finalists were Chez Viola and Fred Scott. Thanks to Lowerhouse BC for their hospitality.
ON Tuesday evenings Greenbrook Methodist Church, Lowerhouse, is the meeting place for the Girls' Brigade, the Explorers and from 7pm the company section. The Boys Brigade meet at the church at 7.30pm on Wednesdays.

A FAMILY social evening will be held in the church hall at St Mark's Church, Rossendale Road on Saturday October 4 at 7.30pm. The hall will also stage a mock auction from 7pm on Friday, October 24.
TOP vocalist Ray Shenton will be singing a tribute to Billy Fury and comedian Alden Jay will also be appearing at a night of free entertainment at Rosegrove Railway Club on Friday, October 24 from 8pm.
