A MAN was found guilty of causing death by dangerous driving of a Bury man after a crash on a country road.
Passenger Andrew Whitby, aged 18, of Lowercroft, Bury, was killed when the driver lost control of a Peugeot 106 GTI on Bradshaw Road, Bolton, on October 18 last year.
The car hit an embankment, flipped on to its roof and Mr Whitby was thrown into the road. He suffered multiple injuries and died later in hospital.
Driver David Fogg, aged 20, also of Lowercroft, Bury, was arrested the following month.
He pleaded not guilty to causing death by dangerous driving but was found guilty by a jury at Bolton Crown Court yesterday after a week-long trial. Fogg is due to be sentenced on November 10.
