CONGLETON Town lived up to their expectations as one of the favourites to take the title with a blistering first half performance.
They opened the scoring after just five minutes when Adam Naylor whipped the ball past Mark Andrews, and Naylor grabbed his and Congleton's second on 15 minutes.
The Rams got back into the game on 33 minutes. when Matt Swailes broke down the left and knocked a great cross into the middle where the onrushing Iain Dyson powerfully headed past Matthew Conkie.
The goal gave the Rams a belief that they could get something out of this game and some stern words from manager Andy Grimshaw at the break did the trick.
The pressure finally paid off on 73 minutes as Dyson grabbed his second from a Chris Clark corner.
