STAFF and pupils are celebrating after their award-winning school was given a glowing report by education watchdog inspectors.
Lammack County Primary School was described as a popular and effective school with inspirational leadership when Ofsted inspectors visited.
The school, in Lammack Road, Blackburn, has just under 500 pupils aged between four and 11.
Headteacher Mary Lewis said: "We are delighted that the school has received recognition for its excellent provision for multi-cultural education.
"This is an aspect of school life that the children particularly enjoy."
The school received a National Achievement Award for raising standards. Standards in mathematics and English are also well above the national average, as is pupils' understanding and respect of one another's cultural differences, according to the report.
