DANCE sessions involving disabled youngsters in Blackburn and their kind-hearted helpers from Stonyhurst College near Clitheroe are to be featured on television.
Children at Newfield School in Blackburn have been shown how to move to music by taking part in wheelchair-dancing classes with youngsters from Stonyhurst College.
About 10 Stonyhurst pupils from Years 11, 12 and 13 visit Newfield School each Wednesday and move the wheelchair-bound youngsters to music.
The novel way to dance has been filmed by Granada TV for a six-part series called "Are You Being Serviced?".
Newfield School headteacher Jane Barry said: "Our link with Stonyhurst College is in its 12th year now.
"It is very popular and pupils from both schools benefit.
"It is a shining example of inclusion in practice."
The programme will be broadcast on Granada in a six-part series starting on Thursday, October 17, at 7.30pm.
