VISITORS to Asda in Princess Way, Burnley, will be able to find out more about mental health as they go about their shopping on World Mental Health Day on Friday.
Staff and people who use services at InToWork will be setting up a stall in the foyer area of the Asda store to celebrate the day and generate greater awareness. Iain Broadley, an Occupational Therapist at InToWork who is helping to organise the event, said: "We were keen to get out and about to help breakdown some of the stereotypes that people may have about people with mental health problems. What better place to do this than in a busy supermarket which will hopefully see hundreds of shoppers stop at our stall to find out more."
Visitors to the stall will be able to talk to staff and people who use services, pick up literature and take part in a balloon race.
InToWork is based on the Burnley District General Hospital site.
