BURY Under 15s suffered a set back in the Greater Manchester Schools' League when they went down 4-2 to Stockport at the Derby School on Saturday.
The local youngsters opened their league campaign with a 3-1 win against Trafford but they came unstuck against a Stockport side, who battled back from being 2-1 down mid way through the second half.
Stockport broke the deadlock after 22 minutes when Paul Woolley scored from a Callum Warburton cross but Bury were quick to reply three minutes later through Garry Button (St. Monica's).
Bury continued to press forward and they went in front ten minutes into the second half when Ben Price (Elton) slotted the ball home from 10 yards.
That lead was short-lived though as Stockport hit back three minutes later with a 53rd minute Warburton goal and Woolley grabbed his second to put Stockport back in front two minutes later.
Bury threw players forward in search of the equaliser but Stockport made certain of their victory when they broke clear and made certain of victory when Russell Courtney scrambled the ball home following a corner.
Bolton Under 14s failed to make it three games without defeat when they slipped to a 4-3 defeat in a thrilling challenge match against Blackpool at Common Edge on Saturday.
The seasiders dominated the early exchanges and they scored twice in five minutes mid way through the first half to take a 2-0 half time lead.
Bolton made a quick reply five minutes into the second half with an Adam Grundy (Turton) header.
But Blackpool restored their two goal lead mid way through the second half.
Chris McCaughtry (Mount St. Joseph's) scored Bolton's second but the home side again pressed forward grabbing a fourth with ten minutes to go.
Bolton threw everyone forward in the dying minutes but they could only add one more when Sam Parkinson (Rivington and Blackrod) headed home a Lee Rothwell (Canon Slade) cross.
