TO judge from your story (LET, October 7), on the Barnoldswick man who was sent home by immigration officials after flying to America to meet his internet fiance, the friendly rapport which is supposed to wrap the UK and US in a cosy blanket of bonhomie is no more real than were the weapons of mass destruction.
