Over two decades have passed but once a leading couple always a leading couple.
Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini have lost none of their on screen chemistry and star in this family drama. But it might never have been that way. Dilip Kumar was penned in to play Amitabh's role and the supporting cast was to include Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla. Instead Salman Khan steps into the role of adopted child and Mahima Chaudhary is his love interest. The final line up though is none the less impressive.
Family dramas never die and this one tells the tale of two devoted parents and their four sons. The parents give everything they have to their children in the hope that when they do grow old their offspring will care for them. But life is full of surprises and Raj Malhotra (Amitabh) is in for a big one.
It turns out none of his children want to care of him or his wife Pooja (Hema).
Bollywood always tends to get all emotional this time of year and maybe it should after a year that has seen sci-fi spectacuilars and horror movies take centre stage. Let this be a warning to you, this one is a tear jerker of epic proportions.
