Amar Abass has been awarded a 2003 Young Leader Award by the RSA. (Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce) and the BYC (British Youth Council).
Amar Abass is among twenty-five young people awarded for their exceptional contribution made to community life and wider society. The young leaders received their awards at a special awards day at the Directory of Social Change in London.
He was nominated by the Bank Top Youth Forum.
Amar said, "I am really thankful to the RSA for this prestigious award and all the training and support that will go with it. I really enjoy the work that I do for and with other young people. It has been an honour to receive this award. I would like to thank all those who nominated me and have supported me over the years."
