A MAN accused of murdering his 14-year-old daughter has been remanded in custody to await trial.
Sean Brown, 35, of Huntington Drive, Darwen pleaded not guilty to murdering Carry Ann Brown on August 17 when he appeared before Preston Crown Court.
The teenager died three days after a car crash on the M6, south of Carlisle. It happened on the southbound carriageway between junctions 41 and 42.
Carry Ann died in hospital after her life support machine was switched off.
Brown, who also denied a charge of rape, will face trial next year.
There was no application for bail by defence barrister Mr Mark Stuart.
Brown was remanded in custody by Judge Peter Openshaw QC.
