A SCRAPPY game ended with Clitheroe having to settle for a point despite an improved second half performance.
But the draw stretches Clitheroe's unbeaten run to eleven games and keeps them top of NWCL Division One.
The first 45 minutes saw little in the way of goalmouth action with the home side having the only real efforts from two early corners.
Clitheroe also had the best chances of the second half and on 56 minutes a neat pass from John Paul Fagan released Lee Cryer, but Alsager's goalkeeper Rob Powner was quickly off his line.
Alsager did have chances of their own though, Andy Park shot over from close range and Kris Richens saved well from substitute Will Hurley.
Clitheroe almost stole the game in the dying seconds when Neil Spencer's shot was well struck and forced Powner to save well at his near post.
