PEOPLE across the borough were in fine voice for the town's biggest musical festival.
Bury Hospice staged the week-long fund-raiser as part of the international Festival of Voices: Voices for Hospices.
Together with countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and America, Bury held Mexican Wave of Sing with the World concerts at the Parish Church, which featured Bury Choral Society and St Gabriel's RC School choir.
This year Bury Hospice followed up the event with concerts across the borough featuring local schoolchildren, choirs and dance groups. Venues included local pubs, the Longfield Suite in Prestwich and events at Baccos restaurant in Bury.
Plans to stage Bury's biggest music festival started last year.
Volunteer, Margaret Lloyd, assistant fund-raiser for Bury Hospice, said: "The Festival of Voices went very well. We were very pleased because it was a new venture for us."
She added: "We are looking to do a similar event next year with possibly a different theme."
