A DRINK driver who got behind the wheel while banned was more than twice the limit, Burnley magistrates heard.
The court was told how Sabar Hussain, 22, had been stopped by police on Colne Road, Burnley.
Hussain, of Baker Street, Brierfield, admitted driving with excess alcohol, using an uninsured vehicle, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, having no MOT and driving while disqualified.
He was bailed until November 17 for a pre-sentence report and was warned all options were open.
The court was told the defendant was stopped in the early hours and an officer noticed his breath smelled of drink. Hussain gave a positive roadside breath test, was taken to the police station and there the lowest of two tests showed 74 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath - the legal limit is 35.
David Leach, defending, urged the court to adjourn for reports. He said Hussain, who had a number of previous convictions, was in full -time work and had never been to prison before.
