Radcliffe Boro 1 Alfreton 0: BORO overcame the absence of a recognised centre-half to keep their first clean sheet of the season and a second-half Jody Banim penalty helped them to an impressive victory over second placed Alfreton Town.
Stand-in centre-halves Steve Spencer and Simon kelly did an excellent job shackling the the Town forwards and the deserved winner came in the 73rd minute when Clive Denham was brought down after being put in the clear by Karl Margison and Banim converted form the spot.
Borough travel to Vauxhall Motors on Tuesday and take on Frickley Athletic away on Saturday in the FA Trophy.
