ROCK bands are invited to take the stage for the Mayor of Burnley's Charity Rock Nite.
Bands will belt out the music on Thursday, November 27, at Rosegrove Unity, Rossendale Road, Burnley from 8pm. All proceeds from the evening will benefit charities chosen by Mayor, Coun Lilian Clark, including Headway, which helps people with brain injuries, and Wish Upon a Star, which aims to provide the holiday of a lifetime for a terminally ill child from Burnley.
Coun Carole Galbraith, a member of the Mayoress' Fundraising Committee, is organising the evening.
She said: "I will be delighted to hear from any rock bands from East Lancashire who feel they would like to offer their services to help raise money for the Mayor's very worthy charities. We are hoping that several local bands will perform.
"Rosegrove Unity Club has been marvellous in agreeing the event can take place in their premises."
Bands can contact Carole on 01282 416947 or mobile 07944 929186.
