A HUNGRY man said to have caused a breakfast time rumpus had turned up at his brother's hoping to be fed.
Burnley Magistrates heard how Martin Robinson, 33, had not eaten for two days and ended up being arrested after police were called.
Robinson, of Clayton Street, Nelson, who was in breach of a conditional discharge, admitted threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour. He was
given a six months conditional discharge but the bench made no order for costs.
Andy Robinson, prosecuting, told the court at 7.10am police were called to a property in Nelson, where the defendant had been causing problems.
He had left and when officers found him he was abusive and swore. He later apologised and said he had been hungry.
Sue Robinson, defending, said Robinson, who had substantial debts, found it difficult to live on his benefits.
Robinson accepted he used bad language. He was taken to the police station and kept in the cells for seven hours.
Miss Robinson went on:" His family weren't going to give the defendant any help and he was upset and hungry."
