A RADCLIFFE company was among many honoured by the Lord Lieutenant of Greater Manchester, Col Sir John Timmons in Bolton.
Site Electrical was one of the companies which received a certificate on behalf of the Greater Manchester Branch of SaBRE the Ministry of Defence campaign to support Britain's Reservists and Employers.
The presentation dinner at Bolton Territorial Army Centre was a thank-you to North-west employers of reserve forces who served in the Gulf during the recent liberation of Iraq at a special employers evening .
Receiving his company's certificate, Tom Murphy, managing director of Site Electrical, said: "We encourage and support any employee of the company who wishes to become involved in the TA reserve."
Accompanied by another company director, Ian Wilbur, Mr Murphy added that he was unable to comment on any person or individual from the company who served in Iraq.
Lieutenant Colonel John Charlesworth, chairman of Greater Manchester SaBRE, said: "Volunteer reservists provide companies with cost effective personal development training.
"Seven hundred reservists from the North-west, who were vital to our campaign, had been mobilised to Iraq at three weeks' notice.
"Without the support of their employers we would not have achieved such a quick and successful result."
Site Electrical, which also has a depot at Tottington, is an electrical and mechanical engineering firm working on contracts for the main utility companies in the North-west.
