STICKING to the theme of beer festivals a picturesque canal-side pub had a vintage visitor for its festival.
The event at Top Lock public house in Wheelton, Chorley, held over five days, enticed widespread interest and an antique dray called in at the pub, courtesy of Blackburn brewers Daniel Thwaites.
Landlord Phil Entwisle, who has run the Top Lock for the last five years, said: "This is the third year we have held our beer festival and it's by far our most successful event yet."
"Everyone enjoyed the annual event and we raised a tidy sum for Derian House Children's Hospice."
The 1935 Bedford Daniel Thwaites dray is normally housed at the brewery stables in Blackburn, and made the short journey to Chorley to enhance The Top Lock event.
