POLICE called to a domestic dispute in Darwen noticed that the electricity meter had been tampered with.
Blackburn magistrates heard that Katherine Agnes McGuire blamed her boyfriend for fiddling with the electricity supply but accepted she had known what he was doing.
McGuire, 22, of Ivinson Road, pleaded guilty to dishonestly abstracting electricity. She was given a conditional discharge for 12 months and ordered to pay £70 costs.
Liz Parker, defending, said her client accepted that she should have informed the electricity supplier what he had been done.
