WHILE I agree with every word of Shuiab Khan's article (LET, October 4), on the disgraceful racism shown by some police officers, perhaps he will consider that their attitude may possibly be influenced by the fact that their London colleagues are forced to close streets on a regular basis for Sheikh Abu Hamza to preach hatred of our country in the name of Islam to hordes of his supporters and also that an association of black police officers is allowed to exist.
Mr Khan is better placed than the rest of your feature writers to condemn this other aspect of racism and I invite him to write an equally cogent column denouncing it.
