THE mystery forward that Radcliffe boss Kevin Glendon has been trailing in the wake of Neill Hardy's transfer to Altrincham has been named as Great Harwood striker Matthew Derbyshire.

Eighteen-year-old Derbyshire is highly rated in the Northern Counties League and played for Boro in their pre-season friendly with Bury.

He was also attracting interest from Ramsbottom United but the Riverside club were put off by his price tag.

Meanwhile, Andy Grimshaw is said to be interested in bringing back Russell Brierley to Ramsbottom after the popular striker was released by Rossendale United.
