FOUR asylum seekers were found hiding in the back of a lorry in Leigh on Wednesday night.
A French truck driver parked in Greenfold Way went to investigate loud noises and banging coming from his trailer at 9pm and found four men inside. He called police.
A 42-year-old and a 27-year-old from Iraq, a 25-year-old from Iran and a Syrian 20-year-old were taken to Leigh Police Station and given food and water.
It is not known how long the men were inside the Norbert Dentressangle lorry for but police said it had just returned from the continent.
