GLEN LITTLE reckons Burnley will benefit after seeing Bolton end his Premiership dream.

And Clarets boss Stan Ternent has received a further boost ahead of the weekend by securing another month at Turf Moor for Delroy Facey and Gareth Farrelly.

But it is Little's return that has really got Burnley buzzing. The tricky winger, 28, was in stunning form at Wolves on Tuesday following his unexpected recall to cover for injured winger Luke Chadwick.

Trotters boss Sam Allardyce has since admitted he is unlikely to pursue his interest in Little, who played only 29 minutes first team football in two months at the Reebok.

Big Sam confessed: "Stan needed Glen back and it wasn't going to happen if I'd been using him on a regular basis, but I said I wasn't.

"In that position, I am more than comfortable in terms of numbers."

However, Little shrugged off any disappointment to insist he returns to Turf Moor wiser for his brief, top-flight fling.

The former Glentoran ace said: "I enjoyed my time at Bolton and wish them all the best. It was a wonderful chance to be part of a Premiership club for a short while and see how they prepare and plan for games.

"Now, if that makes me a better player coming back to Burnley, then they will be the ones that benefit.

"My allegiance is back with Burnley and if they can be the ones to gain, that will more than make up for any disappointment.

"I'm feeling great, I've trained well at a good tempo and I'm raring to go again. It's great to be back!"

Little revealed his frustration at being a perpetual substitute at the Reebok and unable to therefore woo Allardyce where it really mattered.

He added: "As a substitute you feel a bit detached from everyone and not really a part of the game. It had become a bit frustrating really.

"I knew when I went there I would probably be a sub and you can only hope that, at some stage, you will get a run out.

"In some ways I can understand their reluctance. After beating Middlesbrough they struggled to pick up points, but as a player on the fringes, that's when you keep thinking you will get a chance.

"You get greedy, but it just never happened and there is no point in moping around - I want to start again now and help Burnley achieve things."

Meanwhile, both Facey and Farrelly have boosted Ternent's numbers after agreeing to a third and final month on loan.

A deal was struck yesterday between Ternent and Allardyce that will enable both players to stick around for at least another five First Division games.

Facey has scored five goals and grown in stature during his 12-game spell, whilst Farrelly has started eight and been used as a substitute in recent weeks after recovering from illness.
