SUPERMARKET shelves are being filled with foods which will nourish almost a third of a million Brownies.
Leigh firm Victoria Foods' quality home-baking products are boosting Britain's largest organisation for girls and young women.
Girlguiding UK has linked with Victoria Foods and the movement will benefit from a financial donation from the company plus high profile exposure in stores.
The girls had great fun testing the packs, both making them and eating them!
Proceeds of this partnership will go towards developing programmes of activities for girls and young women so that all girls will benefit including nearly 300,000 Brownies.
Brownies for Brownies cake mix and Biscuits for Brownies mix cost approximately £1.49 of which ten pence from each sale goes directly to Girlguiding UK. Mixes are available in Sainsbury's, Co-op, Morrison's and Safeway supermarkets.
Last week Brown Owl Joan Pierce and her Brownies from 24th Wigan West toured Victoria Foods' Bright Street factory and were guests at tea party to celebrate Victoria Foods being named as Girlguiding UK's first Corporate Ambassador giving continuous financial backing.
The Brownies, on behalf of Girlguiding UK, presented the award to Dan Ross, Victoria Foods' Managing Director.
