READER Douglas Fleming has added his twopenn'orth to TV's great Grumpy Old Men programme.
He says the reference to a Leigh food outlet was slipped in on Friday spoken by the "youngest old grouch" he has ever seen.
He says: "He looked to be around 20 years old. Does anyone in the area really know this youthful, vigorous face-lifted 70-year-old or does he simply not exist?
Well Douglas, yes he does, and I'm sure Atherton-raised poet and recording artist known as "the 200 words a minute man" Lemn Sissay, would be delighted with the description. He was born in 1967!
I do agree, however, that he is a bit young to be classed as a grumpy old man, but he has featured on two out of the three programmes so far.
