"GREEN" staff at Radcliffe-based chartered accountants Wilds are helping celebrate ActionAid Recycling's tenth birthday by returning used cartridges and mobile phones to their recycling scheme.
In just ten years, ActionAid Recycling have collected more than two million toner and ink cartridges from UK businesses, including Wilds which is based in Blackburn Street. Profits from the sale of collected cartridges and phones are used by the charity to support projects aimed at reducing poverty.
Wilds have contributed to this by returning more than 200 used cartridges which have helped raise in excess of £800 for ActionAid.
Ken Nash of Wilds said: "ActionAid Recycling offers a simple to use, free collection service including storage boxes and freepost bags: they couldn't have made it easier.
"It's rewarding to know that our cartridges and phones are not just being recycled, but are helping to provide clean water or educational materials to some of the world's poorest communities".
