THE Lancashire Evening Telegraph has waved goodbye to three members of staff who, between them, had 75 years of service.
Eric Leaver, 60, joined his home town Evening Telegraph as a reporter in 1968. He is best known for his Leaver at Large columns, creating the daily cartoon and researching and writing the Looking Back page. From 1970 to 2003 Eric also wrote the leader columns, serving under four editors.
Clive Cosgrif, 60, leaves the newspaper's computer systems department after 22 years.
He is planning to spend more time at home with his family in Burnley.
Pamela Brown, 60, joined Eric and Clive in the 'departure lounge' after 18 years as a competition organiser. She joined the Evening Telegraph working part-time but soon became an integral part of the promotions department. Her husband, Mike, is a commercial photographer at the paper.
