COLNE manager Nigel Coates takes his team to Flixton for the Challenge Cup First Round tie fully expecting his high flyers to get the right result.
And he hopes that a win in the cup will give his team an advantage over the opposition as they have still to play them twice in the league.
"There is nothing better than winning, and this game could give us a psychological advantage over Flixton in the league," Coates said.
"We have only lost one in eleven since I have been at the club, and I want to keep it that way."
But Reds' boss Coates doesn't expect the game to be easy, with sixth place Flixton proving to be tough opponents.
"Flixton are a big, strong and direct team by all accounts. But we won't play the game any differently.
"We will get the ball down and try to play football. This is just another game to win."
Chris Ingham is rated doubtful for the game with a twisted knee, but Colne welcome Craig Whittaker back to the squad after serving his suspension.
