PROLIFIC goalscorer Matty Derbyshire is a major doubt for this weekend's clash against North West County Division One side Nantwich Town in the Lancashire Challenge Cup First Round tie.

And with a number of first team regulars suffering from flu, manager John Hughes may have to ring the changes.

But the Robins' chief clearly has his priorities set, with the league highest on the Harwood agenda.

"We would like to win the game tomorrow but our main priority this year is either winning the league or finishing in the top four to secure a place in the Unibond," he said.

"We have a number of injuries this weekend, with Matty struggling, and with a few of the players suffering from flu it's depleted the squad, but we still have talent and quality in this team and the lads should be up for it."

Despite Harwood being in a division lower than Nantwich, the Robins are still unbeaten in the league this year and go in to the game confident.

But the possible omission of Derbyshire from the team could prove a major headache for Hughes.

"There will probably be two 17-year-old players in the team, and they obvoiusly have something to prove. It will be a learning curve for them," he said.

"We will go into the game as underdogs, but we did well in this cup last year so anything could happen. If Nantwich come into the game resting a few players they might have a shock."

With Derbyshire likely to be missing, Hughes will want his star player back for the next league game away at Cheadle Town.
