LEIGH East U12s ended their run of three defeats with an 18-16 win over Golborne.
Ryan O'Toole opened the scoring in the first minute and Gunning converted. Golborne hit back after some sloppy defending by east.
Ten minutes later Gunning scored under the posts and O'Toole kicked the goal. A minute later the loose forward was on the scoresheet again when O'Toole took ball from the base of a scrum and scored wide on the right. Gunning converted again.
The second half was a different story with East's defence slackening off. Golborne scored three times and almost pinching the game.
