LAW students at Holy Cross College will compete in the regional heats of the bar mock trials tomorrow (Sat Nov 8).
Students from the college, representing the borough, will battle it out in a real courtroom in the hope that they will make it to the national finals in March next year.
The roles of barristers and witnesses will be taken up by 14 Holy Cross students at Manchester Crown Court.
Mrs Sandra Upton, law teacher at Holy Cross College, said: "This is a great opportunity for students. It enables them to obtain an insight into how a trial is conducted and the skills required to be a success in the legal profession."
