LIVERPUDLIANS once famously asked who Accrington Stanley were. But now there's a pocket of youngsters in Merseyside rooting for the Reds.
For pupils at St Aloysious RC Primary School in Huyton, where Stanley manager John Coleman is a Year Five and Six teacher, have vowed to swap their allegience from Liverpool and Everton to Stanley, even if it's only for a couple of hours on Sunday as they take on Huddersfield Town in the FA Cup first round.
"The kids were made up to have the FA Cup in school this week," Coleman said. Mrs Belinda Basnett, headteacher at St Aloysious, added: "We'll all be watching the game on television and cheering Accrington Stanley on."
