Lancashire County Council is to consider a planning application for a development at Castle Cement's Ribblesdale works, CLitheroe.
Managers for the company have applied for planning permission to build new machinery that would be used to handle animal waste derived fuel. Work would also include a new tanker loading bay, a storage area and an extraction system to feed the waste into a kiln inside the plant.
