LEIGH Townswomen's Guild members celebrated the group's 54th birthday with an excellent dinner at Leigh Conservative Club.
Speaker Joyce Tildesley and her daughter Avril enthralled members with their reminiscences about the time they won a trip to Paris and stayed at the Ritz.
Guild officials thanked those who helped raise £450 for local deaf children at a charity night.
Next Tuesday Joyce Crane will reveal her skills with Christmas decorations and cards. New members are welcome to the Tuesday meetings which start at 7.15pm in the Derby Rooms at Leigh Library.
