A BLACKPOOL lap-dancing club boss whose business collapsed owing more than £68,000, has agreed not to take part in company management for three and a half years.

Glenn Michael Walsh, 45, of North Park Drive, Stanley Park, Blackpool, is a former director of Hipvibe Ltd, which ran a lap-dancing club on Central Drive, Blackpool.

The company began running a line dancing club in January 2000 and, from June 2000, ran a lap dancing club.

The line dancing club closed in February 2001 and the lap dancing business was placed into compulsory liquidation following representations from HM Customs and Excise, who were owed £30,461.90 in unpaid VAT.

The matter of unfit conduct, not disputed by Mr Walsh, was that the company was allowed to trade 'to the detriment of crown departments. While debt to crown departments rose from £8,054 to £66,530, trade debts fell from £39,831 to £12,793 in the period of January 2001 to December 2001.

Mr Walsh accepted the undertaking on October 24, and is now prevented from being a director of a company or, in any way, directly or indirectly taking part in the promotion, formation or management of a company.
