LEIGH recruit Richard Marshall insists he's not moved to the Centurions to settle for life in National League One.
The 28-year-old front rower stepped down a flight from London Broncos to join his local team but is determined that his stay in the lower league will be a brief one.
"I've signed for Leigh to help get them into Super League," he says. "Leigh is a very motivated and ambitious club and have shown me what they can offer. This is not a step backward for me, it's a positive one."
Marshall, who will work alongside Paul Rowley on the club's community development programme, originally hails from Warrington but has spent all his professional career in Yorkshire with Halifax and Huddersfield and last year with the Broncos.
"It will be nice to play for a club virtually on my own doorstep," added the Irish international.
